Sunday:   

Pick up from Rome Fiumicino Airport.

19.30  Meet on the terrace of La Ghirlanda for a glass of prosecco to meet your tutor and other guests.

20.00  Dinner on the Terrace

 

Monday:

8.00 – 9.00  Buffet Breakfast 

9.15  Painting Tuition commences

9.30  Cooking Tuition commences

13.00  Lunch on the terrace

Afternoon spent continuing with work, relax around the hotel grounds and swimming pool, walk to the nearby small town of Saragano or take a walk along the quiet road which runs along the brow of the hill with stunning views.

20.00  Dinner in the hotel

 

Tuesday:

8.00- 9.00    Buffet Breakfast

9.15   Painting Tuition commences.

13.00  Lunch on the terrace

16.00  Depart to Montefalco.  A guide will tell you about the history of Montefalco and take you to places of interest such as the museum to see the Benozzo Gozzoli frescoes raved about by Andrew-Graham Dixon in his BBC programme "Italy Unpacked".

17.30  Dinner on the terrace of Locanda del Teatro 

21.30  Return from Montefalco to La Ghirlanda

 

Wednesday:

8.00 – 9.00    Buffet Breakfast 

9.15    Painting Tuition commences

9.30    Cooking Tuition commences

13.00  Lunch on the terrace 

20.00  Dinner in hotel.

 

 Thursday:

8.00 - 9.00   Buffet Breakfast

9.15    Painting Tuition Commences

9.30    Cooking Tuition commences

13.00  Lunch on the terrace

14.30  Depart to Spoleto.   Your guide, Marco, will meet you from the bus to give you a tour of Spoleto.  This tour is not compulsory and so if you choose not to join Marco that’s fine.  You might want to join him for part of the tour and slip away when you want. 

18.30  Return to La Ghirlanda

20.00  Dinner in the hotel

  

Friday:

8.00 – 9.00    Buffet  Breakfast

9.15    Painting Tuition Commences

9.30   Cooking tuition commences

13.00   Count Riccardo Pongelli Benedettoni, owner of La Ghirlanda, produces olive oil and wine.  Today you will visit the cantina to sample his excellent Sangrantino DOCG and his Saragano DOC which is a blend of 60% Sangiovese, 25% Merlot and 15% Sagrantino together with lunch produced by the cooking students during their morning lesson.

20.00   Dinner in the hotel.  


Saturday:

8.00 – 9.00    Buffet  Breakfast

Today is a day for guests to enjoy the hotel, continue with their work or visit a nearby town (taxis can be arranged).  Lunch is not included in the programme today.  However, if you do decide to stay in the hotel please let us know and we will make sure lunch is provided on our account.

19.00  An exhibition of paintings, sketch books etc.

20.00  Dinner in the hotel

 

Sunday:

7.30 – 9.00   Buffet Breakfast available

Depart to Rome Airport or Perugia airport.  Times to be advised.
