Podere Casabella

Fattoria Lavacchio is a family owned typical Tuscan farm of 110 hectares located on the top of the Montefiesole hill at 450 above sea level just 12 miles from Florence. The farm, built in 1700 by the noble Florentine Peruzzi family was purchased in 1840 by the Marchesi Strozzi Sacrati and then again in 1978 by the present owners.

The farm produces olive oil, wine and wheat. They have a large productive garden with fruit and vegetables which provides the restaurant with its fresh produce. Podere Casabella is set in the middle of the olive groves and vineyard with incredible views over the surrounding hills.

At night the lights of Florence can be seen twinkling in the distance. It has a lovely terrace for breakfast, comfortable sitting areas, beautiful swimming pool and all the rooms are on suite and of a high standard.
