Massimiliano Longo is a very talented artist and teacher. Both his parents were artists - his mother still exhibits at the age of 89. He qualified at the Venetian Academy of Fine Art in 1982. In his early years he studied in the studio of Pietro Annigoni (1910-1988) who painted a memorable portrait of HRH Queen Elizabeth II in 1969. |
| His work is principally portraiture, uniting traditional styles with contemporary composition and angles. In all his work he adheres to the Venetian Realism tradition - the "Verismo Veneto."
You will be able to see by Massimiliano's website how talented and varied his work is in all media.
Massimiliano will be our tutor in Venice. As he lives in Venice he knows his way around and most importantly he knows the best painting sites.
Massimiliano is not only a talented artist, he also fences competitively, enjoys horseriding and has a passion for making music. He also has a family. You could say he makes the most of his life.
