Our Painting Programme A is based in Villa San Donnino in Umbria
Programme A: Citta Di Castello
Includes 7 nights' full-board accommodation in 3 star hotel, airport
transfers, visits to exclusive restaurants (wine, soft drinks and
coffee included), tuition and excursions. Programme A is based in
Villa San Donnino, which is near Citta di Castello in Umbria. It
is especially suited to first-time guests and beginners, and includes
a superb selection of excursions.

Sunday
Depending on time of arrival in the hotel
13.00: For guests arriving in the hotel in the morning lunch will
be served in the hotel.
18.00: Drinks and introduction to the week given by tutor.
20.00: Dinner will be served on the terrace of the hotel.
Monday
07.00-09.00: Continental breakfast is served
9.15: Cooking guests leave for 5 minute drive to Claudio’s
house for their cooking lesson.
9.30: Drawing and Painting commences.
13.00: Lunch served on the terrace of the hotel
13.45: Cooking guests return to the hotel.
15.30: Coach departs to visit Anghiari a hilltop town in Tuscany
followed by a visit to Sansepolcro to see the famous work of Piero
della Francesca and visit shops.
20.00: Dinner in Firorentino a family run restaurant in the old
walled town of Sansepolcro in Tuscany.
22.00: Return to hotel.
Tuesday
07.00-09.00: Continental breakfast is served
9.15: Cooking guests leave for 5 minute drive to Claudio’s
house for their cooking lesson.
9.30: Drawing and Painting commences.
13.00: Lunch served on the terrace of the hotel
13.45: Cooking guests return to the hotel.
15.30: Depart hotel for excursion to Gubio.
18.45: Leave Gubio for dinner in Monte Corona – a restaurant
in a 12th century monastery.
22.00: Return to Hotel San Donino.
Wednesday
07.00-09.00: Continental breakfast is served.
9.15: Cooking guests leave for 5 minute drive to Claudio’s
house for their cooking lesson.
9.30: Drawing and Painting commences.
13.00: Lunch served on the terrace of the hotel
13.45: Cooking guests return to the hotel.
18.00: Depart for wine tasting in Cantina Donini in Trestina.
20.00: Leave Cantina Donini for a Pizza dinner in Hotel Mencucci
in Trestina.
22.00: Return to Hotel.
Thursday
07.00-09.00: Continental breakfast is served
9.15: Cooking guests leave for 5 minute drive to Claudio’s
house for their cooking lesson.
9.30: Drawing and Painting commences.
13.00: Lunch served on the terrace of the hotel
13.45: Cooking guests return to the hotel.
15.00: Depart for excursion to the beautiful town of Arezzo Tuscany
with its luxury shops and many museums. We will visit the Domenican
Church of St. Francis to see the restored frescos of “Legend
of the True Cross”. This is part of the Pierro Della Francesca
Trail.
19.00: Depart Arezzo for dinner in Preludio in Citta di Castello
22.00: Return to Hotel.
Friday
07.00-09.00: Continental breakfast is served
9.15: Cooking guests leave for 5 minute drive to Claudio’s
house for their cooking lesson.
9.30: Drawing and Painting commences.
13.00: Lunch served on the terrace of the hotel
13.45: Cooking guests return to the hotel.
15.30: Excursion to Assisi to visit the famous Basilica with its
beautiful frescos by Giotto and others.
20.00: Dinner in a restaurant overlooking the façade of the
Basilica in Assisi.
22.00: Return to the hotel.
Saturday
07.00-09.00: Continental breakfast is served
13.00: Lunch served on the terrace of the hotel. The afternoon can
be used to continue painting or relax around the hotel.
18.30: Drinks served on the first floor of the Chapel building for
a review of the week followed by dinner.
Sunday
07.00-09.00: Continental breakfast is served
09.00: Guests flying from Perugia airport depart.
