Montefalco is a medieval hill town in Umbria.
It is tranquil with tiny cobbled streets, most of them too
narrow for a car. In
the centre is the Piazza del Comune with places to sit, have a coffee
or apperativo and watch the world go by.
Montefalco is called “the balcony of Umbria” because of its
spectacular views over the Umbrian countryside.
There are several famous paintings to be seen in the town
by painters such as Benozzo Gozzoli and Perugino.
Excursions will be to Perugia and Assisi.
We will also have a wine tasting to sample the local Sangrantino
wine that Montefalco is famous for.
For partners/friends that do not want to paint or cook there are
a number of activities, which can be arranged such as horse riding,
biking, walking, golf and even hot air ballooning.
These extras are not included in the price.
“Drawing and painting around the hotel” means either in the
hotel gardens or in the walled town of Montefalco itself as it is
such a short distance to walk from the hotel.
