Hotel Palazzo Bocci is a 15th century mansion
positioned in the centre of the beautiful town of Spello. The hotel
offers classical comfort but modern facilities. All rooms are
sound-proofed and en-suite with shower or bath, minibar, colour TV,
telephone and air conditioning. There are a couple of beautiful
sitting areas decorated with trompe l'oeil. There is a quiet
inner garden to sit out in and small roof terraces with beautiful
views over the valley.
We have made this programme half board so
that our guests have the freedom to have just a panini (sandwich)
for lunch or a full three-course lunch if they prefer.
This gives guests more time to paint, draw or explore the town.
We will get together in the evenings for dinners in some of
the numerous excellent restaurants in Spello.
There will be an excursion to the very beautiful
and spiritual town of Assisi with time to visit the great Cathedral
of Francesco and the tombs of Saint Francis.
Before we arrive in Assisi we will also visit Santa Maria degli
Angeli. We will walk
right across Assisi with wonderful view points of the Tiber Valley
and will visit Santa Chiara before we visit San Francesco’s upper
and lower cathedral. There
will be time to stroll before dinner in the restaurant San Francesco
which overlooks the Cathedral.
We will have a tour of a vineyard in Montefalco followed by
a wine tasting. There
will be time afterwards to walk into the town of Montefalco.
Sunday
14.45:
Collect guests from Perugia airport (time could change).
18.30: Welcome drink
and introduction to the week given by tutor.
20.00: Dinner in the
hotel restaurant “Molino”.
Monday
08.00 – 09.00: Breakfast is served
09.15: Painting
and drawing tuition on location in the town.
PM: Painters are free
to continue painting in a location of their choice or explore the
town. The tutor is available
to offer assistance to those that want to continue their painting.
19.45: Meet in Hotel

Guests are free to do what they want today.
The tutor is available to help with painting if required.For
anyone that wishes to visit Perugia, or Foligno there is an easy train
connection from Spello.
18.45: Guests meet in
the upstairs sitting room to view the week’s work.19.30:
